Jan Frank obtained his doctorate in Food Science from the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences in Uppsala, Sweden and his diploma in Human Nutrition (Ernährungswissenschaften) from the University of Bonn. As a guest researcher, he worked at the Linus Pauling Institute, Oregon State University, Corvallis.
