Socrates Academy is a North Carolina public charter school located in the Charlotte, NC area. Socrates is a Greek language intensive school with focus on foreign language, mathematics, and use of the Socratic Method in teaching and learning.

Charlotte Secondary School is a public charter school located in Charlotte, North Carolina. For the 2009/2010 school year it will house grades 6,7, and 8. Although plans to expand one grade level each year, eventually reaching 12th grade. There are four homerooms per grade, with four core classes, including Math, Science, English, and Social Studies and four electives. The current middle school follows the paideia curriculum, when the high school is established in the future the curriculum will be based upon college preparation. The principal currently is Jeremy Spielman.
